In 30 km in the South of Blois, on the road of Contres to Selles-sur-Cher, raises itself on the place of a fortress of the 12th century, a castle of the 15th century reshaped in the 16th century. The castle of Chémery is a castle of transition, a mixture of medieval architecture and revival, harshness and refinement. The castle was connected until 1970 with the earth of Saint-Aignan, which had converted him in farm in 1729.
Surrounded with staves, buildings form a court, the castle occupying a side and outbuildings the other one. The access is made by a former drawbridge.
