This is the Clos Luce, Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life, painting and working on his thousand passions until May 2, 1519, until his death in the house. This gives the house its unique character. The Clos Luce offers the public to explore the fabulous machines designed by the inventor: airplane, car, helicopter, tank, turntable, etc.. An exciting appointment with a visionary, who was interested in mechanics, hydraulics, optics, engineering, civil and military, marine and aviation.
At the heart of the city of Amboise, 500 meters from the royal palace, the Clos Luce is one of the jewels of the Renaissance. This, with the castle of Plessis-les-Tours, the only building to have been built of brick and tufa stone quarried in the region. It also houses one of the most decorated of the Loire Valley. The manor is nestled in a romantic park of six hectares, inspired by English gardens, and is complemented with an Italian Renaissance garden planted with roses, where visitors can relax and unwind.
