Bordes' Golf is one of the thousand most beautiful in the world and we must not deprive us from the pleasure of play it only one time in our golfer's life.
Between Orléans and Blois, a few yards away from La Loire, in the full Sologne, Les Bordes is a "target course" where we must be precise to avoid or to go round obstacles. We have to know how approach the golf course with understanding and simplicity for not being dominate by it.
Even if the course's record is only a stroke under the par, every player can take pleasure conditionnaly to be humble and play according to our capacities.
Deep in the Loire Vallée, lacated in the center of a very ancient forest, on the Baron Bich's ancient hunting place, the Bordes' domain offers an extraordinary setting for golfers, Only at one hour and an half from Paris. Les Bordes was born from the meet between the industrial Bich (from where the pen Bic takes its name) and the businessman Yoshiaki Sakurai, whom decide to create a great quality and international high golf course for their pleasure and those of their friends.
The Texan architect Robert Von Haage has been in charge to give an american touch to the project. Provided for an illimitate budget and of a completely free hand ias far as this matter is concerned the height of the course, Von Haage had could create here an extraordinary course, not also by its beauty but also by its originality. Since, the domain had established the reputation of being a paradise for golfers in quest of perfection.
Huddled in the wood, all along the course, small cottages and traditional farms totally renovated had been fited out. Every bedroom has his prpore style. Indoor is elegant and simple. At the restaurant, delicious regionals dishes are proposed, and a refined wines list, like Saint Émilion, property if the same baron, to discver absolutely.
